Prof Suzanne Flynn
Professor of Foreign Languages and Linguistics, MIT Linguistics and Philosophy, USA
Dr. Flynn has been a Professor of Linguistics and Language Acquisition at MIT for over 30 years. She received her PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University. Dr. Flynn is also a CCC-SLP. Her research focuses on the acquisition of various aspects of syntax in children and adults in the context of multi-lingual language learning. More recently, her work has focused on the neural representation of the multilingual brain and issues related to language impairment, autism and aging. She has published extensively in journals and books and has authored and co-edited several books. Dr. Flynn is the current co-founding editor of Syntax: A Journal of Theoretical, Experimental and Interdisciplinary Research.

Dr Dora Alexopoulou
Dora Alexopoulou is a Principal Research Associate at DTAL, PI of the EF Research Lab for Applied Language and Learning which investigates second language learning of English and aims to bring innovation in language teaching through a systematic cross-fertilisation between linguistic research and teaching techniques.
She currently focuses on combining linguistic and computational modeling of learner trajectories in big learner corpora. She is a co-founder of the Cambridge Bilingualism Network, a public engagement initiative promoting the linguistic and cognitive advantages of bilingualism. She has published articles in Language, Cognition, Studies in Second Language Acquisition, Journal of Linguistics, Natural Language and Linguistic Theory as well as volumes and conference proceedings.
